I'm glad you've got a backup scheme. :)
If i apply a position from GE to a TIF image that is managed in AP it corrupts the image. AP reports it as an Unsupported Image Format. If i replace the file from the G2A backup everything is fine.
I can repro the problem with different image files (both tif)

OK, I'll be double-checking this.
Ian
I've now tried with several different TIFF files and had no problems. Could you let me know what application created the TIFF file, and maybe send me an example file?
Thanks,
Ian
this is still not working for me in .22 beta 4.
The tiff was created by Photomatix (HDR software) on the mac. the tiff is 35mb... i can try to get it to you (i'm on a sat. connection so that can be harder than it sounds)... if you let me know how you would like me to provide it...

Yousendit is probably the easiest, to 'support!' and the rest of the site address. However, rather than trying to upload the full 35MB file at dial-up upload speed, could you try downsampling the TIFF file, then see if you get the same problem on the small version? Then you could send that instead.
Thanks,
Ian
Ian,
I tried this with the latest beta and the problem is still there (backups are nice)..
I tried exporting the tiff (before apply position data, so no problems with the file) into a 1024x1024x version. I imported the smaller version into aperture and applied the position data... no problems with the resulting image.
I can try to send you the big version that is corrupted... maybe its the size that is flipping G2A out?
Or i can send you the large uncorrupted version so that you can recreate there and diff or something?
let me know
-g
It shouldn't be the size because I've tagged bigger TIFFs than that, so it sounds like it's something to do with the TIFFs that Photomatix puts out. :-(
The uncorrupted file would be the most useful to me.
Thanks,
Ian
