beta test

hi ian,
i tested your software pano2movie 2.1 beta66 on 3 winXP maschines:

P3 850mhz toshiba notbook 398mb ram
amd1200mhz 256 ram
amd 64 turion mobile notbook 1gb ram

all in all it worked fine.

the first a bit confusing thing for a beginner is the output thing in the "as is" mode. i mean there is a export path, a destination path and a temp path.
additionaly ther pops up another window weher i have to specify the name of my project.
temp path is quite logical but the difference between export, destination and project was not to me. it happend also to me that when i did another video with the same parameters, he overwrote me the first one. so i found this section a bit tricky.

the second thing is, that the graph at the bottom for the FOV is going out of the bottom of the monitor. that means that i couldn´t reach the end point of the graph with my mouse.(Picture) i tried also another resolution but it was the same. i think that this is really a bug. the other things are only not handy/logical.

what would make working easier:
- if the preview would jump back to the beginning after playing.
- and it would be not bad if one could insert manually in the graph insert points/frames to cange the direction.
- i did not manage to go over a insert points/frame without stopping. means velocity is not changeble 100%.
( i found abetter solution for the handling is in memories on TV3 if you configure a slide - pan/zoom) sorry, only an idea.

all in all i enjoyed the software. the video quality was good. i hope that this mail is helping you a bit and in first place that you are understanding my explanations because i found it not easy to describe in text what was obvious on working. even in another language - anyway.

wish you success with your projects, thanks a lot for could having testing your software,

i saw, you did work on it already
all the best,
STEPHAN

In the new year I am hoping to rewrite the preferences and export palette into a single window, the current setup is too confusing.

Yes, this is a bug, and is on my list of bugs that need fixing.

You can also use the standard video shortcut of hitting the Home key.

As it says in the readme, this hasn't been added yet.

Sorry, I don't understand these two!

Thanks,

Ian
