GPS2Aperture 1.0.24

GPS2Aperture 1.0.24

Hi, I downloaded the trial version 1.0.23 and using google earth it looked great. I purchased a license and downloaded 1.0.24 as I wanted to be able to use my GPS tracks. I have been using GPSPhotolinker and that is OK but doesn't work too well with Aperture. Anyway the problem I have is that GPS2Aperture just doesn't work with tracks. I have a garmin geko 201 and have been trying to use a .gpx file from that GPSr (it works fine with GPSPhotolinker) but I get no lat long showing up in GPS2Aperture. If I do a calibrate I just get shown a place in Africa I assume its N0 W0.
I also followed the link for documentation and there isn't any...

I would greatly appreciate any help on this.

Paul

Some more information

I have done a bit of investigation and the txt file in application support contains nothing but "1230838868"
the GPX file contains hundreds of entries. Reading through the forum posts it looks like you had a problem with this before but fixed it in 1.0.23. Looks like it might be broken in 1.0.24...
It is unfortunate that I had to buy the program to find this bug for you. A full featured trial period would be a sensible thing to have.

I have emailed the GPX file to you.

Found the problem

I took a look at the gpx file and it had a blank track entry at the beginning of the file. I deleted that and now GPS2Aperture reads the GPX OK.

Hello Paul, I've received

Hello Paul,

I've received the file you sent me, and will add code to GPS2Aperture to cope with blank tracks. The pro features in GPS2Aperture have a fully functional fifteen day trial period, but if you were using the 1.0.23 beta version your trial period was probably over - but 1.0.24 didn't change any of the working code in the application.

Thanks,

Ian
