I submit a Feature Request for GPS2Aperture to consider heading metadata.
Some new cameras and gps units, such as the Solmeta and , are able to save and handle heading metadata. The heading is equal to the compass direction. So if I shoot a photograph pointing dead West (a sunset for example), the Heading metadata will be 270.

Aperture itself doesn't have an 'Image Direction' field in it's database. It could be added as a custom field but it probably wouldn't be included in any exported files.
Can you send me a GPX file which includes the direction information, for future reference?
Thanks,
Ian
