Program crashes

I have installed this program on 3 different computers. On all 3 the program crashes after a significant time of rendering. I notice from this forum that this problem has been around for sometime and has been put down to a memory bug.

Quote: " As you can see from some of the other bug report threads, there's a memory bug in Pano2Movie when producing long sequences which gets a lot worse when using the high quality rendering. Try going into the export palette, setting it to normal quality and see if that helps. Fixing the crashing/memory bug is my highest priority for Pano2Movie, but has to wait until I have finished some other projects first."

Is there any chance this problem will be overcome soon?? I would like to purchase this program, but am not prepared to pay for something that does not work.

Thanks
Epoc

Hello Epoc, As far as I can

Hello Epoc,

As far as I can tell at the moment, the crashes are happening when choosing higher quality rendering in the export palette, and doesn't happen when using the lower quality rendering.

As a temporary help for the crashes, this temporary version of Pano2Movie will let you specify a range of frames to export - so if the previous run crashed after frame 734, you can set it generating frame 735 onwards. Note that there is no documentation included, you will be best off generating image sequences, and the temporary folder will still be wiped when starting to generate the frames.

Any ideas why the program

Any ideas why the program crashes when I try to import an QTVR file? This is on a new Dual Core 3.0Ghz system running XP SP2 with all latest drivers installed.

Thanks
