Multiple keyword find and replace

Hi Ian

Your tool may save me a lot of aggravation if it can do what I hope.

I've only just downloaded and started to play....

Having spent three days find and replacing Keywords for images in a project, could your product be used to automative the find and replace for multiple keywords?

Aperture Assistant can't set keywords at this time. Can you tell me a bit more about what you are doing?

Finding and replacing keywords

I'm trying a way to automate finding and replacing keywords in projects.

A project of about 1000 pics took about 3 hours to tag (acceptable) and about 20+ hours to manually replace these numbers with actual names when known from a text file, which is clearly not acceptable when it can be scripted.

I'm leaning toward using a database solution but this doesn't seem right somehow when Aperture is a database anyway.

I found a script on one of your linked sites to export keywords to be manipulated externally and re-imported to correctly tag photos in aperture but the export script didn't work....

So, any suggestions as to the way forward would help (barring of course the hope for a solution ready made in Aperture 3!).

So you're keywording from competitor numbers and then want to bring the names in from a text file? Do many of the photos have more than one 'number' keyword?

Where is the script that you found?

If you email a sample text file to 'support@' and the website address I'll have a look at putting together a script.
